Italian rims, wheels, saddles and handlebars

Gipiemme was founded in Milan in 1964 as standard mechanical workshop.
Afterwards focused on the design and production of bicycle’s parts and components for third parties up to finally produce it’s own bicycle’s complete group sets. The most famos, bagar, cronosprint, alto and azzurro.

In the years affirms itself between the world main producers for cycling complete group, continuing the innovation on the range of products.

In the eighties Gipiemme specializes even more in cycling components; in 1980 starts the production of frame’s components such as the famous Forcellini, in 1984 is produced the first wheel entirely made in carbon and in 1985 Gipiemme makes the first production of complete wheels for Track and Crono.

These revolutionary wheels in glass fiber, called “lenticular” due to their typical “lens” form, have been the starting point for the development of this incredible product.

In 1989, Gipiemme starts the exclusive production of rayed wheels in aluminium and in carbon fiber both provided with aeronautics technology.

During 1992 Gipiemme fullfils the range of products changing completely the classical spoke wheel, creating the Tecno 416. In 1999, Gipiemme presents the first wheel lighted by CNC and the wheels with spokes regrouped three by three and four by four.

In 2002 Gipiemme develops and selles in world exclusive the SBS Short Breaking System patent that guarantees the reduction of the breaking distance but keeping the roadholding safety.

The rims, wheels, saddles and handlebars made by Gipiemme and NISI are entirely produced in Italy, in the factory located in Loria (TV).
